Bunnahabhain 11 Year 2008 Manzanilla Cask, 52.3%
Nose: Bursts out of the glass, pecans, salted caramel, seawater, grapes, stone fruits, berries, vanilla, super rich!
Palate: Medium mouthfeel, quite oily, sweet and salty, pecans and cashews followed by dried fruits
Finish: Medium to long finish, bright with orange notes, more sea salt, ends bitter but not unpleasant
Rating: 91/100 – Incredible | An all time favorite
Really incredible stuff! Huge flavor bomb, explosive nose, and takes the whisky in a direction I’ve never experienced. Will definitely be seeking out some more Manzanilla finished malts in the future and as always, more releases from Bunnahabhain.
