Rating: 76/100 – Great | Well above average
Another solid blend from the Barrell team and a step up from the standard Stellum bourbon offering. The flavor hits big and delivers a wonderful profile full of brown sugar, candied orange, and baking spice. Unfortunately the heat hits hard as well, punishing more than I’d like and exposing an underwhelming viscosity for a bourbon in this price range. Ultimately it’s a whiskey that I think any bourbon fan would enjoy, while also being one that may not be worth the splurge to everyone.
