Black Velvet Canadian Whisky, 40%
Nose: Rubbing alcohol, sour apple, maple, vanilla, stale bread
Palate: Medium to thin mouth feel, honey, ethanol, maple, musty, butterscotch
Finish: Blessedly short length with only some mild bitterness
Rating: 21/100 – Poor | Forced myself to drink it
This one has very few redeeming qualities. It lacks flavor and much of the flavor it does have is just plain awful. The sweetness with that butterscotch note are the only things keeping this from total drain pour territory, but I struggle to think of anything I’d even want to mix with Black Velvet. Maybe I could cook with it…
